Held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Madinah Region, the AlBaraka Islamic Economics Forum is widely recognized as one of the most prominent global platforms dedicated to the advancement of the Islamic finance industry. The patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Sultan reflects the strategic importance of the Forum at both regional and international levels, underscoring its role in shaping the future of Islamic economics and finance and supporting institutional development across the sector.
The 46th edition brought together hundreds of experts, industry specialists, and decision-makers from over 30 countries worldwide, including CEOs of Islamic financial institutions, Shariah supervisory board members, regulatory authorities, as well as leading academics and researchers. The Forum featured a series of specialized panel discussions addressing key contemporary issues related to the governance of Islamic financial institutions, financial technology (FinTech), industry sustainability, and emerging regulatory and Shariah challenges—positioning it as a premier international platform for knowledge exchange and shaping the future direction of the global Islamic finance industry.
This participation reflects the continuation of AWJ’s consistent presence in specialized international forums and conferences, in line with its pioneering role as the first Palestinian firm actively specialized in Islamic financial consulting, arbitration, and professional training. It also underscores AWJ’s commitment to transferring global expertise and best practices to the Palestinian financial market, thereby enhancing the readiness of local financial institutions—including Islamic banks—to keep pace with the rapidly evolving Islamic finance landscape.
Dr. Abu Diak’s participation, as a specialist in Islamic financial structuring, Shariah governance, and financial arbitration, represents a valuable contribution that strengthens Palestinian professional engagement in international industry dialogues and supports the development of strategic partnerships with leading experts and institutions worldwide.
AWJ reaffirms that its ongoing international engagement aligns with its strategic vision to support institutional capacity building in accordance with the highest professional and Shariah standards, contributing to the sustainable growth of the Islamic financial sector locally and regionally.
